Asset
An "asset" refers to any piece of digital content stored in the Brand Channel. This includes files like images, videos, documents, 3D models, and collections of assets. Assets are managed using metadata, folders, and categories.
Category
A category is a classification label assigned to assets. Unlike folders, categories are not hierarchical. They function like tags and enable flexible grouping and filtering of assets based on themes or types.
Collection
A collection is a group of assets managed together. Collections allow users to share multiple assets simultaneously, internally or externally.
Creative Editor
The creative editor is a feature within the Brand Channel that enables users to design or modify templates for assets. It integrates tools like img.ly to enhance asset customization.
Digital Asset Management (DAM)
A system or strategy for organizing, storing, and distributing digital assets. The Brand Channel serves as a DAM platform to simplify asset management and improve collaboration.
Folder
A folder is a virtual container used to group assets. It works like a folder in a traditional file system, organizing assets for better accessibility.
Metadata
Metadata is information about an asset, such as its title, description, tags, and categories. Metadata helps improve searchability and organization within the Brand Channel.
Quick Filter
A pre-configured filter applied to narrow down asset results based on common criteria. Quick filters are simple to use and accessible directly in the asset overview.
Taxonomy
Taxonomy is the organizational structure used to classify assets within the Brand Channel. It enables multi-faceted navigation and search, providing scalability and flexibility beyond traditional folder systems.
User Role
The level of access and permissions assigned to a user. Roles include admin, editor, and viewer, each with different levels of control over assets and settings.
