Editing in the Gallery View
1. Opening an Asset

Navigate to the asset in the Gallery View.

Click anywhere on the asset tile (except the selection circle) to open the Preview Screen.
2. Using the Editing Tabs
Within the Preview Screen, you’ll find the following tabs for editing:

Metadata: Update the asset’s metadata, such as title, description, and tags.
- File-Metadata: Technical Metadata of the asset.

Products: Manage product-related information, such as identifiers and titles.

Share: Configure asset sharing options.

Download: Set download preferences or options.
3. Updating Metadata

Language-Specific Metadata: Those metadata is linked to the selected Metadata language.

Title: Provide a descriptive name for the asset.

Short Description: Add a brief description of the asset’s content.

Infotext: Enter detailed information about the asset.
-

Global Metadata:
-
Categories and Folders: Assign the asset to specific categories or folders.
-
Keywords: Add searchable tags to improve discoverability.
-
Validity Dates: Define when the asset is publicly available.

Tip: Use the "Translate" button to generate metadata in multiple languages automatically.
Editing in the Table View
1. Switching to Table View
- Navigate to the asset in the List View.
2. Inline Editing

Click directly on a metadata field to edit it.

Unsaved changes are highlighted in gray.
3. Copy-Paste
- Use the Copy-Paste Metadata feature to duplicate metadata between assets.
- Use CTRL+C (Windows) or CMD+C (Mac) to save them to the clipboard. To paste the metadata, the user presses CTRL+V (Windows) or CMD+V (Mac).
Bulk Editing
The Bulk Edit feature allows you to edit multiple assets at once. Follow these steps:

Select Assets:

In either Gallery View or Table View, select the assets you wish to edit.

Use the selection circles or checkboxes to mark multiple assets.

Perform a Bulk Edit:

Click the Bulk Edit action from the quick action menu.

A modal will appear, allowing you to edit fields for all selected assets.

Available Actions in Bulk Edit:
-
Replace Fields: Replace any single-value field (e.g., title, description) with a new value.
-
Add, Remove, or Replace Multi-Value Fields: Modify fields with multiple values, such as products, categories, or keywords.

Add new values to existing ones.
-
Remove specific values.
-
Replace entire fields with new values.
-

Save Changes: Once all updates are made, click Save to apply changes to all selected assets.
Tips for Editing Assets

Mandatory Fields: Complete all required fields (marked with an asterisk) to avoid warnings.

Locked Assets: Assets with incomplete metadata remain locked and cannot be shared or downloaded.

Duplicate Metadata Warnings: Be cautious when applying changes to avoid overwriting existing metadata.
Troubleshooting

Editing Disabled: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit the asset.

Missing Fields: Contact your Brand Channel Administrator if certain metadata fields are unavailable.
