Uploading a Video to YouTube

The Brand Channel allows you to upload videos directly to your linked YouTube account. This guide walks you through the steps to ensure your video is properly uploaded and configured.

Prerequisites

Ensure your YouTube account is connected to the Brand Channel. To link your account:

1. Locate the video asset you want to upload in the Gallery View or Table View.
2. Click on the asset to open the Preview Screen and navigate to the "Social" Tab.

3. Select "Add Channel" and follow the instructions, provided by Google.

Note: Adding a YouTube channel to your Brand Channel allows every permitted user to upload videos to this YouTube channel.

Steps to Upload a Video

Open the Asset in the Brand Channel

1. Locate the video asset you want to upload in the Gallery View or Table View.

2. Click on the asset to open the Preview Screen.

Navigate to the "Social" Tab

1. In the Preview Screen, click on the "Social" Tab.

2. Choose the appropriate channel.

Configure Upload Settings

1. Enter the required details for your video:

   • Video Title: Provide a descriptive title.

   • Youtube Category: Add a Youtube Category.

   • Keywords: Include relevant keywords for better discoverability.

   • Listening Type: Select one of the following:

     • Public: Visible to everyone.

     • Unlisted: Accessible only via direct link.

     • Private: Accessible only to you.

Upload the Video

1. Click "Upload to YouTube" to start the process.

2. Monitor the upload status in the Social Tab: You can see a progress bar and notifications for completion or errors.

Post-Upload Actions

Viewing the Video

1. Once the upload is complete, a link to the video will appear in the Social Tab.

2. Click the link to view the video on YouTube.

Editing Video Details on YouTube

1. You make any changes directly in the Brand Channel. Click "Update at YouTube" to commit the changes.

2. After uploading, you can make additional edits directly in your YouTube Studio (https://studio.youtube.com).

Deleting the Video

1. Go to YouTube Studio.

2. Locate the video and use the Delete option.

Troubleshooting Upload Issues

• Error Connecting YouTube Account:

  • Verify your YouTube account credentials.

  • Ensure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser during account linking.

• Upload Failed:

  • Check the video file format and size.

  • Retry the upload or contact support if the issue persists.

• Video Not Appearing on YouTube:

  • Ensure the upload was completed successfully.

  • Check your privacy settings in YouTube Studio.
