Creating New Assets

The Image Editor in the Brand Channel, provides robust tools for creating new assets and editing existing ones. This guide outlines the steps for asset creation, customization, and exporting.

Steps to Create a New Asset

1. Open the Image Editor

  • Log in to your Brand Channel account.
  • Navigate to the Image Editor via the main menu.
  • Click "Create new" to start a new template.
  • Set a Name (this is mandatory for saving the asset as a template).
  • Select one or multiple resolutions.

2. Add Elements to Your Asset

Images:

  • Select images from your Brand Channel library.
  • Use tools to crop, rotate, and adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation.
  • Apply filters, overlays, and shadows for enhanced visual effects.

Text:

  • Add text boxes to your asset.
  • Customize font style, size, color, alignment, and spacing.
  • Apply effects like shadows or outlines for emphasis

Shapes:

  • Choose from predefined shapes (e.g., circles, rectangles, polygons).
  • Customize shapes by adjusting fill color, stroke color, opacity, and gradients.

Using AI

Create new image assets with a prompt

In the Image Editor, you can use AI to create new images from a text prompt and then save them as assets in your Brand Channel or export them.

1. Open AI Image Generation

  1. Open your scene in the Image Editor.

  2. Click AI in the left toolbar.

  3. The Image Generation panel opens.

2. Generate an image using a text prompt

  1. Under Input, select Text.

  2. Enter your description in the Prompt field (e.g., subject, style, background).

  3. Click Generate.

Prompt examples

  • “Minimal product photo, bright studio lighting, soft shadow, neutral background”

  • “Lifestyle scene: cozy living room, warm light, natural colors, lots of space for text”

Edit images with AI and remove backgrounds

You can enhance images directly in the editor using the quick actions and AI tools.

1. Select an image

Click the image on the canvas. A toolbar appears above it.

2. Remove the background

  • Click Remove BG to automatically remove the image background.

  • Fine-tune the result if needed, then continue editing or place the cut-out into your layout.

3. Edit and transform an image with AI

Click the AI menu to access additional AI-powered options:

  • Change Art Style
    Applies a new visual style to the selected image.

  • Edit Image…
    Lets you modify the image using AI (for example, adjust the look or generate variations based on your edits).

  • Swap Background…
    Replaces the background while keeping the main subject.

  • Create Variant…
    Generates alternative versions of the selected image to choose from.

Exporting your Work

1. Choose the format you want to download

Note: You can only pick from the formats that you already created.

2. Choose a save or export option

After editing, click Export in the Image Editor (top right). Then pick what you want to do:

  • Save as new
    Creates a new scene/version based on your current edits, so the original stays unchanged. Use this if you want to create variations (e.g., different layouts, languages, seasonal versions).

  • Save as Image
    Saves the current result as an image asset in your Brand Channel, so it can be reused like any other asset.

  • Export Image
    Downloads the current result as an image file to your computer.

  • Export PDF
    Downloads the current result as a PDF.

  • Share Scene
    Generates a unique URL for your template for review/collaboration. Use this if you want to allow stakeholders to access and use it without requiring direct access to the Image Editor or Brand Channel.

Tips for Effective Asset Creation

  • Use templates to maintain brand consistency and save time.
  • Regularly save your progress to avoid losing work.
  • Test exported files to ensure compatibility with intended platforms.
