To verify that your assets meet accessibility requirements (e.g., EAA), follow these steps:
1. Open the Asset Preview
-
Navigate to the Asset Gallery.
- Select the asset (image, document, 3D, or 360° asset) to open the Preview Layer.
2. Access the Accessibility Section
In the preview view, click the Accessibility button to open the compliance interface.
3. Manage Compliance Information
Within the Accessibility section, several tools help you assess and manage an asset’s accessibility status:
3.1 View Compliance Status
The top of the interface displays the current compliance status of the asset:
-
Compliant: The asset meets all accessibility requirements (e.g., correct contrast, text alternatives present).
-
Non-Compliant: The asset is missing at least one required description or has accessibility issues (e.g., insufficient text contrast).
-
Not Checked: No accessibility check has been performed yet. This could mean:
-
You’re not using the automated EAA module for this asset type.
-
The compliance check has not been completed.
-
Note: The compliance status does not affect whether an asset is public or locked. However, customer integrations may restrict delivery of non-compliant assets, even if they are publicly accessible.
3.2 Download the Compliance Report
If the asset is marked as non-compliant, you can download a detailed compliance report:
-
For images, 3D, and 360° assets: The report lists recognized text elements and whether they meet contrast and other EAA standards.
-
For PDF documents: The report includes additional checks such as overall document accessibility and screen-reader compatibility.
3.3 Add, Edit, or Delete Descriptions
Every asset must have at least one description in any language to be considered compliant:
-
Click “Add Description” to insert a new description.
-
Click the trash icon next to a description to delete it.
-
Click inside a description textbox to edit the content directly.
